Accomplished guitarist Alec Frith will be teaming up with actor and playwright Paul Rapsey for a Benefit performance of Paul's new dramatic monologue, " The Little Wooden House ". Although Alec has travelled the world with his music, he currently lives in Lequile, Nova Scotia. Paul lives in Granville Ferry. The play, a benefit for the Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens, will be held at the Granville Ferry Community Hall, on Saturday, May 25 at 7:00 p.m. The story, as told by the actor, involves an incident that takes place in Cuba. Alec will be playing Latin music on guitar between scenes and during an introductory video. Tickets will be available for sale in early May at the Historic Gardens Shop, 441 St. George Street, Annapolis Royal. Tel: 902-532-7018.
Paul has now signed a contract with Pegasus Publishers in the UK for the publication of his third novel, "The Listing Lighthouse". The manuscript is in the hands of these publishers. However, he has just written a new monologue: "The Little Wooden House". The script is being published by Amazon. This is a one Act dramatic monologue in five scenes. It is his shortest monologue to date and will run only about 30 minutes. His five other scripts, published in a compilation titled "Five Monologues", run from about 50 to 90 minutes. Paul is currently working on learning the script and hopes to perform it live this spring and summer. Because it is a short play, he hopes to find another performer or performers, theatrical or musical, to make a benefit performance feasible.
